Hmm... I guess it depends on the accent. I imagine Tessa to have a calm voice, and I think I might like it if she had a slight eastern european accent.

How that would effect the comics, I don't know.

I wouldn't like if a movie Tessa had an accent mainly because i can't see Tessa has having one.
Actually, let me refrase that, i imagine Tessa as having any accent that she wants, acording to her needs, but when speaking normally she would speak in american english.
I suppose when she first started speaking english ( if that's not her mother language) she might have had some kinf of accent, but probably lost it very quick, with her brain and abbility to control her whole body all it would take was to hear somebody speaking any language correctly and she would be able to get the accent.

Maybe a bit OT but do you think Sage is american, as in naturalized ( if that's the term, i'm not sure)? I realize she probably has tons of fakes ID's with different nationalities, but in her real one, if she's has one.

Sage isn't indian, at least that we know, her birthplace hasn't been revealed.

But she was raised in the hindu Kush. So she would be Pakistani or Afganistani. Since it was 20 years ago. So she would have been like 15 or somthing. Hmmm if it was 20 years ago and Sage was an adult. Then the youngest she can be is like 35. Funny how Sage is older then Emma.

Nope, Sage was around ten then (because she said she's the same age as Hank and Hank said he's 30)

And just because she was at the hindu kush at age 10 doesn't necessarily mean that she was born there ( her parents could have been explorers or red cross or something and killed there).

Also, Claremont said she's of Greek and Walish descent.

Well then she is still older then Emma which i find comical. Damn Morrison for making her younger. Emma should be 35 or 40!!! Sorry i don't like de-aging characters who were well established as older characters.

Why is it comical?
Besides, kep in mind it's Emma, just because she said that she's 27 doesn't mean she really is. I might be way of but Emma does seem like the kind of woman to de-age herself ( even to herself).

yeah but according to her series she was 17 , 10 years ago. I really thought she deaged herself. But the series ruins that idea.

I agree with Luana's view on Sage's accent. In XXM 1, Tessa spoke Spanish and imitated a man well enough to fool someone who knew that man.

When I brought up the accent issue, I was thinking in terms of Kate Beckinsale's British accent.

On her nationality - we know little. The only information we have is that she was in Afghanistan at the age of 10, and that CC has stated repeatedly that she's Greek/Welsh. She might already have been a US or UK or Greek citizen before arriving in Afghanistan. Or she may have been born there. There's scarcely enough information for speculation. It is certainly possible that her original nationality was Pakistani or Afghan.
I don't know if she'd be a naturalized US citizen or not. I think she would be, but I'm not sure at all.

If you want Indian actresses, look on page 2 of this thread. There are people in that part of the world with Sagelike features. For example:
http://www.suratcityonline.com/gallery/newpics/bipasha9_9.jpg
This picture should look familiar.

As for Emma's age, IMO it's a mistake to take seriously Emma's statement that she's 27, considering that she's the sort of person who would lie about her age, and that was the sort of circumstance in which she'd lie about it. I expect that sooner or later it will be fixed. She definitely makes more sense as 33-35 than 27.

The comic didn't say she was raised there... it just says she was there. Besides, being raised somewhere doesn't automatically make you that nationality.

But it's not just her statement. According to her own series. She is 27 since the series takes place 10 years ago when she was still in highschool.

Has anyone mentioned Bridget Moynahan? I just saw her in I, Robot and I thought she could play a good Sage.

She seemed "Sage-like" in I-Robot. Not exactly like our Sage, but similar.
