Why look, it's the cover for New Exiles 10:

Same old. Maybe she'll discover yet another new power so that CC can spice up an awful plot that overstayed its welcome 20 issues ago.

I'd love hear the rationalization for that one. Maybe it's because she's crazy. Apparently lunacy not only gives you a bad case of awful taste, it gives you magical hair powers.

It's kind of pathetic that the woman who stood up to Bogan now needs her imaginary enemy to fight her battles. Against a filler villain no less.

You and me both.

Actually, from the preview it seems like she might squash them both. I guess we'll find out soon. I can't wait till she goes back to "normal", if that will ever happen.

I guess so, afterall the good guys are supposed to win. But to be honest, I don't think she'll get back to normal, if normal is defined by how she was back in XXM. CC's attempts at normal in this title were nothing but a bad caricature of what she used to be and this version of "Sage" I don't really like or care about. This one Diana could take over for all I care.

XXM Sage, though? I really miss reading about her.

On the upside, the power to change hair and eye colour is at least more original than a TP/TK combo. It's completely illogical and quite likely was just thrown there because the readers were deemed to dumb to distinguish between Sage and Diana without a visual reference, without any regard to any sort of sense (I mean, she's crazy right? No sense required), but hey, if she's going to go from black to blonde every time she hallucinates, at least she should save a small fortune in dye and contacts.
Not that Diana had green eyes before. But that sort of detail would only get in the way of perfectly good train wreck.

There hasn't been any attempt at normal in NXL yet, she's had those issues from the beginning of the book. It's been back and forward between Diana Fox and the telepathy.

I wonder if it was really TK back in #8, or Diana's flying ability. Which seems more likely at the moment.
If so, the power signature around her head was probably either an error or TP.

The dragon arc had attempts at almost normal until the TP exploded. Still, there's Sage with issues dealing with them in an interesting way and there's Sage with issues dealing with them in a WTH? way. This has been the latter. I can't recognize Sage in her reactions.
And that's to say nothing of the "issues" themselves.
Also, about the TP, if she's going to use that 90s ad-on, that she use it at her 90s level. During which time she could control what TP she had just fine. Instead, the woman who can't forget apparently forgot even the basics of her TP training and spends pages whining about the people in her head like it was something new when she could control and used it just fine before.

What flying ability? Diana was a depowered mutant. She flied because the suit let her, just like every other Captain, so we can't even say that suit was returning a lost ability.
So Diana should believe that she either had no powers at all, not without the suit, or only be able to use Sage's powers.

Anything with 90s-TP is bad.

The suit's abilities is what I was referring to.

Still both Sage and Diana should be able to fly and have super strength. Captain Britain (Brian) was able to use the suit's abilities without wearing it, so...Sage could fly whenever she wanted.

But Psylocke also had a suit, and she couldn't fly afterwards. The reason why "Diana" can still fly is Roma's essence.
